Wine:

Bursting with freshness, the 2022 white Pfalz Sandstein-Riesling is a quintessential example of pure, light, and delicate Riesling. It features noble vegetal notes and a hint of mint leaf, remaining digestible and approachable with a very pleasant saline touch on the finish. This white wine is perfect for an aperitif, pairing with lake fish, or a Viennese veal escalope. Offering great value for money, it is rated 91/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Native yeast vinification, spontaneous fermentation. Aged in tuns. Bottled after 16 months on lees.

Bright, light golden yellow.

Nose:

Fresh with citrus zest aromas and a touch of mint leaf.

Palate:

A pure, easy-to-digest Riesling, with a supple, elegant structure and a touch of salt on the palate.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

At just 26 years old, Jonas Seckinger is making a name for himself as a rising star in the Palatinate region. Inspired by the "precise and low-alcohol" wines of the Moselle, a fan of Alsace, and fascinated by the long-aging wines of Domaine Zind-Humbrecht, Jonas Seckinger embodies all the hallmarks of excellence to create his own exceptional wines in Niederkirchen, Rhineland.

Graduating from the prestigious Geisenheim University in 2016, Jonas Seckinger has established his vineyard on 12 hectares of prime hillside and terrace locations. His wines, which undergo spontaneous fermentation and are aged in large wooden barrels, beautifully showcase the fresh style of the Palatinate.
