Wine:

Blending the classic trio of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, the 2020 Red Clos du Roi Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a wine of remarkable intensity and finesse, showing perfect ripeness. With layered notes of stone fruits, candied fruit, and spice, it offers a fresh, full-bodied, and elegant profile, with well-integrated tannins. A highly promising 2020 vintage, it will age beautifully for 10 years or more. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Vatting by plot with 10 to 15% stems. Blending after malolactic fermentation. Aged in barrels (15%), foudres (25%) and concrete vats (60%) for 18 months.

Nose:

Delicate aromas of stone fruit and candied fruit.

Palate:

This expertly blended cuvée reveals a beautiful balance, with a full-bodied palate and fine, silky tannins.

Serve between 14 and 16°C.
