The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A cornerstone of champagne excellence, awarded 3 stars by the RVF Guide, Louis Roederer Champagne House embodies, more than any other, the highest level of refinement among these sparkling wines.

Committed to organic and biodynamic farming for the past twenty years and driven by an insatiable pursuit of perfection, the Reims-based House has now achieved an absolute pinnacle, embodied in its iconic cuvée, Cristal, one of Champagne's greatest achievements.

A gem of the House once created for Tsar Alexander II, Cristal is certainly the most renowned champagne cuvée in the world, a cult cuvée, almost indispensable.
Wine Born of a challenging vintage, Cristal 2012 strikes a perfect balance between power and finesse, combining vinous depth with the vibrant freshness of its chalky terroir. Its rich, complex bouquet unfolds with aromas of candied and zesty citrus fruits, roasted hazelnut, and delicate pastry notes.

The palate is both concentrated and refined, showcasing remarkable tension and precision in its aromatics. The silky texture, a hallmark of the vintage’s Pinot Noirs, is both enveloping and exquisitely fine. Presented in magnum, it offers an unparalleled sensory experience. Rated 99/100 by RVF and 97+/100 by Parker.
Vinification Handpicked grapes sourced from 1/3 of the vineyard of 'La Rivière,' 1/3 from the vineyard of 'La Montagne,' and 1/3 from the vineyard of 'La Côte.' No malolactic fermentation and aging in oak casks for 25% of the wines.
