The estate and the wine |
An icon of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and awarded 2 stars by the French wine guide RVF, Château de Beaucastel has established itself as one of the appellation’s most innovative and outstanding estates. Its spectacular terroir of galets roulés (rounded pebbles), combined with an uncompromising pursuit of perfection, produces deep, elegant wines that age beautifully.
A true benchmark, this legendary estate continues to refine every detail to stay ahead. Recent vintages, crafted from whole-cluster fermentations and, in some cases, aged in amphorae, reflect a relentless quest for excellence that remains deeply rooted in tradition. |

Entirely vinified in large wooden foudres, the 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red is a wine of great elegance and perfect balance. Crafted from a diverse blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache, Counoise, and other local varieties, it also includes 20% white grapes (Roussanne and Clairette)—a traditional touch that enhances freshness and finesse while softening the alcohol. This harmonious combination results in a beautifully expressive wine, with silky tannins and a long, delicate finish. In Magnum format, it gains even more depth, longevity, and a convivial spirit.Rated 94/100 by Parker. |
