The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A flagship estate of the Loire Valley, awarded two stars by the French wine guide RVF, the Luneau-Papin family is renowned for crafting age-worthy, precise, and expressive Muscadets that stand among the region’s finest, delivering both freshness and intensity.

Today, Pierre-Marie and Marie Luneau-Papin carry the estate’s legacy forward with remarkable energy, further refining their terroir-driven approach. They embrace traditional élevage methods, using underground concrete vats and, at times, amphorae to enhance the wines’ depth and character.

With a commitment to biodynamics, meticulous craftsmanship, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence, the estate has secured its place at the pinnacle of Muscadet winemaking.
Wine From 2.8 hectares of quartz, mica schist, and gneiss soils, with vines planted in 1974, the 2023 White Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Vera Cruz delivers an astonishing saline intensity. Its brilliance, floral elegance, and delicate iodine notes make it a captivating wine. A remarkable food-friendly white, it showcases both generosity and precision, with a texture that is at once invigorating and soothing. The palate unfolds with depth, ripe citrus nuances, and a radiant balance. This is Muscadet at its finest, offering a truly stunning expression of the appellation. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, whole grapes pressed in a pneumatic press. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Matured in an underground concrete tank covered with molten glass tiles. Bottled in February 2025.

Certified Biodynamic wine.
