The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Jean-Marc Burgaud is a leading figure in Morgon and a standout name in Beaujolais, with two stars in the French wine guide RVF. A passionate ambassador for the region, he’s known for his sharp, focused style and unwavering commitment to terroir.

Drawing inspiration from Burgundy, where he trained, Burgaud works only with top sites. His method is precise and thoughtful: single-parcel vinification, partial whole-cluster fermentation, and long ageing in barrel—without the use of new oak.

His wines are consistently ripe, vibrant, and finely sculpted, capturing the soul of each vineyard with elegance and energy. Already a sure bet in red, Burgaud now turns his hand to white wines—with equally impressive results.
Wine Carried by vibrant freshness, the 2022 Beaujolais-Lantignié Chardonnay is a standout example of the grape—easily holding its own against some of the finest whites from the Côte de Beaune. With notes of white fruit, almond, and a hint of orgeat, it finishes on a refreshing citrusy lift. The palate is both dense and well-paced, with beautifully subtle oak adding the final touch. A versatile, crowd-pleasing wine—perfect as an apéritif or at the table. A favourite of the Selection Committee, rated 92/100.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vines planted in 2010. Pneumatic pressing, fermentation between 12 and 16°C, aged for 6 months in vats and 2 barrels used for 5 wines. Bottled in April 2023.
