Chapoutier - Saint-Joseph - Deschants - Red - 2022

Wine:

A blend of parcels spanning the northern and southern parts of the appellation, the 2022 Red Saint-Joseph Deschants is a true reflection of its terroir. It offers floral aromas and vibrant fruit notes in a supple, approachable style. With its fresh, mid-weight structure, this wine pairs beautifully with slow-cooked meats or a classic rabbit stew.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. Vinified for 3 to 4 weeks in open concrete vats with one or two pump-overs per day. Aged for 12 to 18 months, mainly in vats and partly in oak barrels.

Color:

Deep garnet red.

Nose:

Black fruit aromas underscored by floral notes.

Palate:

Soft and approachable, with fresh, vibrant flavours, this cuvée offers immediate enjoyment, enhanced by fine, velvety tannins.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Rabbit, beef bourguignon, small game.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030.
