Wine:
The 2017 red Médoc Château Campillot is a model of suave, elegant Bordeaux, carried by a beautiful, energetic, sheathed framework, suave tannins and great freshness. A total success that we enjoy whatever the vintage, and which delights with its fruity presence and fresh, powerful structure. A must-discover!Vinification:
Hand harvested from September 22nd to October 2nd. Fermentation in small steel and concrete vats. Pressing by vertical hydraulic press. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.Color:
Intense, brilliant garnet red.Nose:
Subtly fruity, with lovely aromas of perfectly ripe red and black fruits, and a lightly toasted background.Palate:
Rich and full-bodied, this wine with its opulent body and delicate, coated tannins develops a silky, well-balanced juice with a long, gourmet finish.
Temperature:
Serve between 14 and 16°C.Food and wine pairing:
Beef kebab and vegetable tian à la provençale, thyme-roasted rack of lamb, pork chop with its hearty jus.Cellar aging:
From now until 2026It's no coincidence that we were immediately moved when we tasted this wine, since Château Campillot is the family estate of Branaire Ducru's winemaker, a Grand Cru Classé for which we have the utmost admiration.
